Those that view the message of the market on daily basis are likely confused by trading noise. While trading noise contributes to long-term trends, it does not define them. The focus on short-term noise rather than trends, a source of confusion for the majority of investors, leads to the creation of bagholders at major trend transitions.

The US stock rally, like it or not, is being lead by the Dow Industrials. Dow leadership suggests international buying driven by capital flows. Double or triple upside alignment should materialize in the Industrials first. How close are we?

Weekly: Consol
Monthly: Consol

A signal could happen as early as February. We'll see. Sentiment, despite characterization from the talking heads as bullish, is pessimistic. Pessimism will be the fuel that drives the rally. Trouble is, key leadership groups from a domestic point of view, Technology and retail stocks continue to significantly under perform.
