#Economy & #Stocks Review Dumpster Fires Have Started

E&S Review
Much of today's economic data, time series officially collected and produced, are highly unreliable. Statisticians employ well-documented techniques such as geometric smoothing, seasonal adjustments, substitution, double counting, and hedonic to adjust economic outcomes as far back as the 1980s. Politicians and central bankers use these techniques for political gain.

Data massaged by statistical techniques (tricks) are revised when nobody is looking, or Administrations or public policies change.

Dumpster Fires Have Started

The majority, a group that never gets timing right, will swing from optimistic to pessimistic during rallies and declines. They spend the bulk of their time chasing bullish or bearish stories on the Internet.

Our computer follows only the invisible hand. While the invisible hand can be bullish or bearish, it slowly positions itself against the majority over time. The computer helps us track the cracks in the facade of the narratives that the majority embraces. We've been updating the E&S report to discuss a growing number of cracks. It's typically time to get ready to run when we start using phrases such as, a developing dumpster fire. Fires typically follow the economic cycle.

As the old saying goes, "it's all about the economy, stupid."
