While the 2023 rally pales in comparison to the 2024 Cocoa rally (wow), it successfully transitioned the majority from an apathetic observer to sugar addicts. The composite trend entered consolidation in late 2023, and the majority has been jumping barrels to survive. The long consolidation has crushed participation, and reduced the number of people feeding quarters into Donkey Kong. Falling participation and (quiet) accumulation by the invisible hand is typical of a market ready to transition. The invisible hand kicks us in the shins, and we start talking.
