Iran retaliates for the deadly attack on their embassy in Damascus. Slow drones were easily shot down, and the cruise missiles, some of which failed to leave the launch pad, crashed in the desert, and did minimal damage.

Israel, keeping the drama alive, pondered their response for days under the guidance of key allies. Suddenly, they responded with force on key strategic facilities housing Tomcat fighters, aircraft that the US Navy retired in 2006. Tin foil hats wondered if they could even fly.

The entire sequence of events has turned the Top Gun: Maverick plot into a Nostradamus prediction and an Onion article. Rumor has it that the plot from Iron Eagle will be part of the next response.  Channeling Chappy.

IRANIAN STATE MEDIA IS REPORTING TONIGHT’S AIRSTRIKE BY THE ISRAEL AIR FORCE MAY HAVE TARGETED THE 8TH TACTICAL AIRBASE OF THE IRANIAN AIR FORCE, WITHIN ISFAHAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, WHICH CONTAINS MULTIPLE SQUADRONS OF F-14 “TOMCAT” FIGHTER AIRCRAFT.
