#Commodities & #Energy Review $USO $UGA #OOTT - Short-Term Pain For Long-Term Gain Mantra

C&E Review
Short-term price fluctuations do not influence long-term trends, cycles, and profitability. The majority, guided by price trends and emotions, concentrate on short-term trading noise rather than cyclical trends of price, time, and energy. This focus creates confusion, frustration, missed chances, and typically leaves them holding the bag during trend shifts. Investors can sidestep this pattern by embracing the Evolution of the Trade and aligning with the minority.

US Iran War, They Need A Distraction

Statements by JD Vance and Donald Trump that should have been run through a PR firm, infer that the Iran ceasefire is a temporary strategic pause rather than a lasting peace agreement. The discussion infers that the pause is intended to stabilize oil markets, replenish energy and military resources, and preserve the option of renewed conflict.

Russian Oil Sanctions Had Zero Effect On Russia

India is set to import a record-high volume of Russian crude in June as the Hormuz crisis and the U.S. waivers on Russia's barrels have pushed the world's third-largest crude importer to gorge on Moscow's oil again.

Beyond the Ceasefire: The Unfinished Crisis in the Strait of Hormuz

An interim peace agreement between the United States and Iran is going to enter a "second stage," President Donald Trump said on Tuesday.

The majority assumes that Trump is fully directing events in the Middle East and other global conflicts, but the invisible hand ultimately exerts far greater influence. No single leader controls all the variables at play. We will examine this dynamic in greater detail in future Commodities & Energy Report updates.  If we see accumulation into falling oil and gas prices, it does not support the narrative of durable peace. Instead, it suggests that market participants are positioning for a continuation of tensions that extend well beyond the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil is holding steady despite the propaganda pushing a “peace deal” narrative that amounts to little more than an extension of the ceasefire.

This conflict is not going to be resolved easily or quickly.

While a sharp run-up in grain prices on weather concerns have sparked fears of a parabolic rally in foodstuffs and commodities, it cannot dominate our emotions and blind us to the interconnectivity of markets and the invisible hand. A sustainable rally in grains must be accompanied by a surge in commodities, foodstuffs, and leading indicators such as the Australian Dollar and silver. Trumps Expects Oil To Drop

Trump expects the price of oil to drop once the Iranian actions end, and they could reach a new low. The Administration knows the price of oil is a problem for US households stretched by debt, and facing layoffs.

Protests in Iran, No Small Headline

Iran’s leadership is facing its most severe pressure in years as deadly anti-government protests enter a third week and President Trump warns that U.S. military intervention remains an option. Trump said Iranian officials had reached out to negotiate after he repeatedly cautioned that the U.S. would act if protesters were killed, though he also warned action could come before any talks.

In a rare move, Iranian state media aired footage showing dozens of bodies at a Tehran-area morgue, acknowledging that most of the dead were ordinary civilians. Rights groups say the true death toll is far higher, ranging from several hundred to possibly more than 2,000, with thousands more arrested across the country.

Iran’s government claims the unrest is now under control and blames the violence on foreign interference, while staging large pro-regime demonstrations. Tehran says it is ready for both war and dialogue, as Washington confirms the president has been briefed on potential military options but has not yet mobilized forces.
