We know how to follow the invisible hand in relation to the majority. The Matrix takes care of the invisible hand, and experience handles the lunatic fringe.
A few things we've learned over the years:
(1) Never fight the primary trend!
(2) We have manure for brains is the underlying assumption of all official communications. This assumption maintains the separation between the minority and majority.
(3) The Economist can't time (sh*t). Whether 3D chess smart, or pure manifestation of observation (2), it doesn't matter. It creates bag holders with wicked efficiency.
