Recalling BLS Staff For CPI

You can't make this stuff up to be funnier. The CPI, which is about a reliable as the flat Earth reports, is deemed critical by the White House. We have long said that this report is worth the paper it's printed on, so why get it out?

Some BLS employees are being called back as “essential” to release the September CPI report, which is needed to calculate Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA) for programs like Social Security. These adjustments are based on data tied to the government’s fiscal year ending September 30. Since older Americans who rely on these benefits vote in high numbers, no politician wants to risk delaying the report.

Don't mess with our social security checks even though they scammed you out of your money long ago. The younger generations won't see much of this program when they realized it's filled to the brim with public sector debt. The same debt that's about ready to implode.
