#Gold & #Silver Review $GLD $SLV #GC_F #SI_F - Beat The Grass To Startle The Snakes

Gold & Silver Review
Trading noise, the random movement of price over the short term, does not control trends, cycles, and profits. The majority, an emotionally driven group focused solely on price, often interprets it as meaningful information. This leads to confusion, frustration, missed opportunities, and leaves the majority as the bag holders of trend transitions. The Evolution of the Trade helps investors stand separate from the majority.

Beat The Grass To Startle The Snakes

CME’s silver margin hike, effective Monday, has reignited debate over whether the metal’s rally is peaking or entering a volatile consolidation. Macro analyst Qinbafrank draws parallels to 1980 and 2011, when aggressive margin increases near major tops forced deleveraging and triggered sharp price declines. While the current move is less severe, higher margins still reduce leverage and can push traders out of positions regardless of conviction.

Unlike past speculative-driven rallies, today’s strength is underpinned by tightening physical supply. China, which dominates global refined silver, plans to restrict exports in 2026, while COMEX inventories have fallen sharply and domestic Chinese stocks are near decade lows. This has widened the gap between paper and physical silver, reflected in negative swap rates and delivery demand, even as speculative excess builds.

Industrial demand from solar, EVs, and AI supports the bull case, but analysts caution that excessively high prices could damage end-user profitability, placing an upper limit on how far the rally can sustainably extend.

Only foolish gunslingers buy 6-sigma cycles. The CME will raise margins in an effort to allow smart money to beat the grass and startle the snakes. The snakes are the majority who cannot time the market.
