Trump Doesn't But Should Rule Out Boots On The Ground
President Donald Trump said he is not ruling out deploying US ground troops to Iran if necessary, following major US-Israeli airstrikes under Operation Epic Fury that he claims killed 49 top Iranian leaders, including Ali Khamenei. Trump said the operation is ahead of schedule and justified the strikes by citing intelligence that Iran was resuming nuclear weapons development at a new site. While no US troops are currently in Iran, officials have not ruled out future deployment. Polls show mixed public support, but Trump defended the action as necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
