Apple has confirmed that it will disable iCloud end-to-end encryption in the UK, following a request from the UK government. This decision means that users in the UK will no longer have access to Apple's Advanced Data Protection (ADP) service, which provides optional end-to-end encryption for various iCloud data. The move is intended to avoid a conflict with UK authorities, but sacrifices the added security that ADP provides to users.
