The Art Of The Pause
The White House announced a “historic” trade agreement between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, finalized during a meeting in Busan, South Korea. The deal, described as a major victory, includes U.S. tariff reductions and Chinese commitments to curb fentanyl chemical exports, ease restrictions on rare earth materials, and reopen markets to American agricultural goods. China will also lift retaliatory measures against major U.S. companies. The administration said the agreement strengthens U.S. economic and national security while prioritizing American workers and farmers.
