US #TreasuryBond Review $TLT $IEF - Powell Comments On Independence

US Bonds Review
Short-term price fluctuations do not influence long-term trends, cycles, and profitability. The majority, guided by price trends and emotions, concentrate on short-term trading noise rather than cyclical trends of price, time, and energy. This focus creates confusion, frustration, missed chances, and typically leaves them holding the bag during trend shifts. Investors can sidestep this pattern by embracing the Evolution of the Trade and aligning with the minority.

Powell Comments On Independence

The Federal Reserve is expected to keep interest rates unchanged this week, but the policy decision is being overshadowed by political and legal turmoil surrounding Fed Chair Jerome Powell and the central bank’s independence. Powell is facing a Trump administration criminal investigation, while a Supreme Court case weighs President Donald Trump’s attempt to remove Fed Governor Lisa Cook, and Trump is preparing to nominate Powell’s successor ahead of his term ending in May.

Despite the uncertainty, markets have shown little sign of alarm, and analysts largely expect the Fed’s institutional safeguards to hold. Economic data offer few reasons for near-term rate cuts, with inflation still above target and the labor market steady. Attention is instead focused on the coming leadership transition, the Senate confirmation process, and whether Powell stays on as a governor—factors that could shape the Fed’s independence and policy path, even as most economists still expect gradual rate cuts later this year.
